The Return of The Neatest Little Guide
Signalizer is becoming The Neatest Little Guide to Investing.
After a year of writing think pieces here under the Signalizer banner, it’s time to turn the page—or flip the digital switch.
I’m returning to my explanatory roots with an online reinterpretation of my bestselling Neatest Little Guide series of financial books. You might remember this one:
Starting next week, Signalizer will become The Neatest Little Guide to Investing:
But fret not, Signalizer aficionados!
You’ll be pleased to know that its thought-provoking spirit will live on as a subsection featuring its archive, including last November’s Israel series culminating with “A Bolder Two-State Solution,” as well as occasional new installments. The moneyed magnificoes at Floor Forty will still make appearances, including the incomparable Agatha Agatsuma.
Why The Change?
Many of you have been clamoring for updates to my Neatest Little Guide books. While new print editions may materialize down the road, the digital world enables me to deliver updates faster and fresher.
Traditional publishing is fantastic for some things, but speed? Not so much.
It takes about two years for a printed book to make it from manuscript to bookstore. And while I deal in the eternal verities of finance, even timeless truths can benefit from timely examples. Let’s call the goal timely timelessness. By updating sections of my books online, I can pluck examples from right now rather than market history, making lessons pop in real-time.
The goal for The Neatest Little Guide remains unchanged: to make the often mind-boggling world of finance and investing both understandable and—dare I say—enjoyable. Readers of my books tell me they’re better informed and prepared to maneuver in the market. They take control of their portfolios to achieve financial goals, then feel a sense of accomplishment and pride when they succeed.
I aim to give readers of the online version the same clarity and command.
What About The Kelly Letter?
Ah, yes. One of the hiccups with Signalizer was that a fair number of people mistook it for The Kelly Letter and subscribed, thinking they’d just bought a ticket to the latter.
I’ll be making it crystal clear that The Neatest Little Guide is not the letter. The Guide will teach investing basics, just like its predecessors. When readers are ready to graduate to managing their own money, The Kelly Letter will be waiting with its high-performance rules-based Sig plans. The path to financial freedom will be:
Learn about investing with The Neatest Little Guide.
Manage your money with The Kelly Letter.
Achieve your financial goals.
And as a bonus, The 3% Signal will join the fun. I think of it as the purpose-driven cousin to the Neatest Little Guide series. If you haven’t read its famous first chapter—“Why Markets Baffle Us”—you’re in for a treat. This is the cover:
Here Comes The Guide
I’m excited to saddle up once again and ride with you into the next phase of investing lessons. There’s gold in them thar hills, and we’re off to claim it.
